Estonia L-190

The new Studio grands are ideally suited for living rooms, music rooms, smaller rehearsal rooms, apartments and studios. The hand-built grands are currently considered by many to be the best choice in these sizes.

The manufacture of pianos began in Estonia as early as the end of the 18th century. At the beginning of the 20th century there were no less than 20 builders of pianos and the most notable was the manufacturer Ernst Hiis whose hand-built piano was the prototype for the Estonia piano.

The instruments have received several awards for outstanding technique and were prominently represented on the numerous concert stages of the East. More than 7500 concert instruments have been manufactured and pianists such as Sviatoslav Richter, Dmitry Shostakovitsch, Emil Gilels and Claudio Aurrau have performed on these fantastic instruments.

Since Estonia regained its independence in 1991, the current owner Indrek Laul, has brought Estonia back to the high level of yesteryear.

Instrument

Since 2001, Dr. Laul's family consisting of pianist Reet Laul and conductor Venno Laul, has taken the Estonia grand pianos to a level where charisma and durability fulfils the wishes of every owner/pianist. The tone, touch and control are unequalled.
